Not Buying A Ba

After riding in my bosses new BA Futura today im very dissapointed with the rattles and viabrations in the car, aswell as the wind noise, it just doesnt seam quiet at all, and the brakes make a noisy sweaking sound aswell which i found very annoying.

After this i wont be buying a BA, ive had too many troubles with the AU to buy anohter one.

hmm, ive driven two different BA's, and they felt firmer then Pamela Lee's tits. No sqeaks or rattles, they felt like big Mx5's. Maybe you expect Mercedes Performance mate, then you should pull out the doe and get one.

ok cool,
seems strange, how long has he had it? Dealers fix small problems like these if told about it early enough..I suggest He take it back to Ford and complain

Its a Dec comp plate, and its done about 4000 kms. The boot doesnt shut properly either, and some of the paint looks cloudy on the boot as if it hasnt been sprayed correctly, and hes pretty PISSED off about it.

My Ba has now done 6k, most of that was done travelling from Canberra to a place called Goovigen in Central QLD, then to Rocky and back to the Gold coast (via Monto, Esk etc) and then back home via the inland route, 5 passengers, sit on the boot to shut it, 40+ degrees, potholes, Roos, Semi's, not to mention roadworks and a pretty quick trip from the Gold coast to Canberra due to the bushfires,
Guess what? not one rattle or squeak, no Oil consumption, great fuel economy. (particularly considering it was driven quite hard on the way home)
I realise that there is good ones as well as bad but as I type I have 2 BA's under the house and they have been perfect, One of the many hats I wear at work is that of Fleet Manager, I have 3 BA's in the Fleet and 2 more on order (if I have my way it will soon total about 20) and we have not had one problem as yet.

Is the BA a good thing? You better believe it!!!

Cheers, Bazza.

BIGBADAU, I STRONGLY suggest you speak to your Ford dealer and try another BA. What you are experiencing is unfortunate, however not a common issue with these cars.

Secondly, I STRONGLY suggest your boss goes back to the dealer, or better back to Ford direct and say this is not good enough in a constructive manner. To date GP and the gang have been more than helpful if you give them half a chance.

Oh yeah man he will dont worry, the only problem is that the dealer hates him because of early experiences with his last AU2 Fairmont.

I really like the looks of the BA and features, but also another point there seams to be alot going wrong with the Turbos, ive heard brake wear, gearbox problems (AUTO and MAN), ECU problems, and Temp problems, I just have to question how good they really are. Im going to hold off another couple of months, give the BA models a chance to really show their true colours, if any more problems arise id say ill be buying a shitty old Magna or camry, because im not going to put up with having to take the car back to the dealer every second week with a problem, like ive had to in the past with the AU.
