can't please everyone ...he said he was enchanted with the AU when he first saw it (not that there is anything wrong with that ...however it's safe to say most of the world wasn't enchanted!!) so it's nothing more than a personal opinion.
Every time I see one... I wonder why it took so long to make a car that looks as good as the BA !!!

Nice article , good to see he's not on Holdens payroll ... Funny how he loved the AU and not the BA though , like XA said, its just a matter of opinion I guess.

One hiccup tho...

Correct me if wrong but isn't the BA roof line flatter thus making that new as well?

Yes mate, it's a new roofline as well. The only external panels to remain from AU are the door skins.

Seems to be a bit of revisionism going round, as far as the AU is concerned.

During the life of the AU especially the early seires on days, the media were pretty scathing of its looks.

I dont think I read one positive media review on the styling.
Now the BA is here, suddenly the media is full of people saying
"The BA is a step backwards in styling, i loved the AU from the start, it was such a statement etc"
Where were they 4 years ago?

Ahh well, remember GP is trying to sell cars to Mums n dads, and fleets, not journos

Exactly.....not everyone liked the VT-VX and I'm one of them!!

me too, especially VX. lets run through a list of things i dont like:
*the c-pillar strip
*the reflectors in the bumper
*how the back door is the wheel arch
*the join between rear bumper and rear panel- colour never matches and is never a smooth transition
*the join between front bumper and front panel- same as above
*the bottom of the bumpers and side sills painted black on lower cars makes them look really high and ungainly
*the 'dead carp' look about the front bumper opening
*the / \ back wheels

thats all i can think of for now

p.s my favourite AU angle is front 3/4 and rear 3/4 :>
