My work is looking at Novated Leasing and it seems many people here are doing just the same.

Looking inot it and trying to work out the benefits is a little confusing so I wonder if any of you guys can shed a bit of light on your experiences with it - without giving away personal details of course.

I can get an N/A XR6 @ $38K drive away but can't work out the FBT + I currently get a petrol card which of course attracts FBT. I suspect I will have to see a financial advisor ultimately.

I currently have a novated lease for my AUII XR6. (36 months/40 % residual) Using a Novated Lease is only beneficial when you do around 25000 K's per year and you earn above say $65k per year.

The best thing that I can recommend is to visit www.mcms.com.au. These guys do all of our leasing. The actual finance company is Macquarie.

The site gives you all the details on the pro's and con's of leasing. It also has a calculator to work out the $ per month that it will cost you as well as the annual saving.

Another note, with some leasing, the financal institation pays the GST portion of the sale price. Brings the price down fairly well.
