Aight, I thought what the hey make another thread about the lowering.
What I've done is:
-Replaced the full suspension in the front end with good second-hand (GSH) stuff.
-Replaced all the swaybar link bushes in the front
-Replaced the swaybar mounting 'D' bushes
-Set my torque wrench to FT and taken to every bolt
-Put in Lovell Superlows (which I bought back off SPRINTEA) all round
-Put in some second hand good condition heavy duty shocks
-Replaced the rear swaybar mounting 'D' bushes
-Had the front castor bushes replaced professionally
The total cost of this was about $210, which included the springs, Nolathane bushes and installation of Nolathane castor bushes by TTF.
What I still have to do is replace the upper and lower control arms in the rear because they are chewed, replace the rear sway bar link bushes and probably grease up the track bar bushes, and also get a front wheel alignment.
The result is awesome. The ride height is perfect, sits evenly front and back. The front end is as tight as a nun's nasty and the rear aint so bad. We found a bit of a rattle in the rear end which turned out to be the lower seatbelt mounting thing on both sides. I still have to tighten 'em but yeah. Once the rear end is tightened up with the new bushes and that it should be perfect. I was fed up with all the rear end noise in my old car, so I decided to do everything right first time this time.
Big thanks to Ash who came down and helped fit the rear springs today. They were a bitch to get out, took about an hour start to finish. Basically had to un-bolt the whole diff and play with the jack.
The pic of it is up a private road down the back of Gilly's joint so don't go spastic. We forgot to take normal pics. In the pic it hasn't really settled, it was taken about 20 minutes after we got it off the jack. It now sits pretty evenly.
Here's the before pic:
And the after...

If they don't come up go to Ash's (Kenaz) gallery.
As I said, private road down near Gilly's. There's a bit of CFI straight gas power for you right there. It's on a rough road, temp needle hovering over M and near new Goodyear Regatta's.
