1/ AIR FUEL RATIO?
2 / IGNITION TIMING PARAMETERS?
3/GEAR SHIFT PATTERNS?AUTOS..?
Gear shift is not a problem with shift kit....FIXED..
Which sensors directly control these items via the ecu??and how???

gear shifts are still a problem with the wrong diff ratio
eg Gli ECU and XR6 diff or any ECU and 3.7, 3.9 or 4.1's

Gear shift - Need a speedo calibrator unit.

As for the rest you better ask XR9UTE. In 8's I assume the MAF and oxy sensors do air/fuel.

1/ A/F - tps, hego, map sensor

2/ Igntion - distributor hall effect and the above

3/ Auto - tps, shaft speed, vehicle speed.

i wonder what will happen if i remove the tps plug?Will the car run from the crackcase sensor?

no the tps has a great importance to work out a/f, ignition timing and also auto gear changes

I unplugged it and the car still ran but picked up high revs..too high...I unplugged the ics??itturned off.

You can run without the isc (idle speed control) no probs, but you do need the TPS.

u dont NEED the ISC, but its advised. You can just screw in the idle screw more to stop it stalling at idle.
