My 2002 BA 6cyl is leaking oil onto my carport. I have been under
and fully cleaned and am now convinced that the aluminium casting is actually porous and oil is leaking through. My local dealer says that he has never heard of such a fault. Has anyone had different experience?

who cares just give it to the dealer to get it fixed ASAP. check the oil level before driving it there but!

I would take a bet that it's your rocker cover gasket. Because the oil runs down from the top it looks like it's comming out of the fly wheel housing area (i thought this as well) but upon tracing the oil carefully i found the source of it was the rocker cover gasket.
