Check out the damaged car auctions, you may get lucky as since you're moving panels around etc you may find one that u can use ur old panels on, might be cheaper then you thought!.
like a theft recovery EB or ED XR8 5 speed with no interior or front panels

something like that shouldnt go for any more than 2 or 3k ish

Re: Opinions needed

about the eyelids...i think a good design could work. Eyelid is probably a bad name for it. Just some kind of design over part the head light to change it up a bit.

ok well it looks like ill start looking for a P.O.S EA or EB 5 speeds...if anyone sees any going cheap give me a PM please.

I PM'ed ford_forever as well...hope his still around

Re: Opinions needed

in all honesty, you dont wanna start with a POS.
you wanna start with a good clean example, the least amount of body work you need to do the better.

when i say POS, i meant that I didn't care what kind of condition the engine and interior are in as long as its staight, no rust, and is manual.

It could be multi-cololured for all I care :)

What price bracket do you think im looking at? Is it possible to get something around the $500 mark or is that a bit low?

Re: Opinions needed

i kind of believe 500 is a bit low for a good clean example. remember the manual gearboxes go for about 600/700 alone for a good one.
i'd budget a grand for a good clean rolling shell with engine and manual box.
no doubt it will need the firewall welded (the manuals all crack the firewall where the cable goes through)
