hey guys im still new to the forums but am wondering why us guys with xr8s dont have a seperate forum?the xr6t boys have one which is great you want to know something about the turbos its all there but with xr8s there is posts all over the place.it seems most of the topics are related to the xr8???just thought it would be nice
This has been brought up and discussed amongst the mods before but nothing was decided at the time. We'll have another look at the issue again.
All constructive comments or suggestions are welcomed and listened to.

Well obviously JoeG you have not been around long enough to understand much of anything. This has been duscussed in the past and a simple search on the topic first would have cleared up a few issues, but alas some people rather just cry piss and moan about something than try to investigate it prior.
So you can stop your whinging here you go.
1. splitting off yet another forum would not only fragment the site further but also cause just that much more confusion.
2. do you suggest that we should split off every vehicle make/model just to appease everyone? That would entail more forums to have to weed through to get your answers. SO instead of FPV area for the FPV guys, turbo area for those fanatic, since the v8 guys like to single them out and attacke them as well as the Falcon area for the rest -- you would suggest that we have something like this? Falcon xr6, Falcon XR8, Tickford XR6, Tickford XR8, Xr6 Turbo, Ute, FPV, FPV Turbo, FPV Whatever, Mustangs, escorts, etc etc etc. Further segregating down the forums so that nothing can be found? I mean honestly what is the need to have so many? With such a braod commonality between them all people would have to hunt MORE forums to get an answer. Then we would have nothing but complaints about it all being split up and not easy to find information.
3. There will be alienation of one group or another on here. That is not what we are trying to do.
4. What about the XT/Futura/Fairmont/Ghia? Are they relegated to only the aussie falcon area to gather information? They share a lot of what the others have as well. Do I have to make a forum for each of those so they are not alienated on here?
5. With the creation of MORE subforums that only will drive people to have to click more to get to the areas they want. The more the person has to click the more they are likely to leave. Simply put.
Do I need to go on. Really people are only going to get pissy with more subdivision and more alienation. Topics will be difficult to locate and really is a bigger mess than it is worth.
still cant understand why turbos have a forum then. arent they a aussie falcon like the xr8?i just think a seperate forum will very popular (my 2 cents worth)

Turbo's are a new thing for ford, and only available in the XR6... Makes sense to me otherwise they would fill the I6 forums rather quickly.
There is the Windsor and Modular forum. What more do you want?? Next would be a XR8 forum for windsors only, and one for Modular's only... Then the twin light forum for ED's on (excluding the EB's). There is also the club forums as well. Sorry if I sound pedantic, just can't see the point of an XR8 only forum.
I'm just thankful there is a FF for me to visit, and I'm slowly getting better at searching the archives!!

Well, at least we got a reaction...thats more like it!
itis not that you wont get a reaction. It is that it gets old to repeat over and over the same things when it is easily searched on the forum and read the discussions from this to several other things.

That is your opinion. I just do not see the greatness of seeing more forums on here to further seg others.

Well see it from our view. Discussions repeating themselves over and over. People refusing to look over what was already talked about in depth just so they can say their 2 cents. One good example. V10 rumor we started. We are regretting that one, but again it is only going to keep cropping up.
We do listen to suggestions, but repeating things discussed before is a little non exciting to say the least.

I will not start yet another subforum. Simple fact they do not get spidered and index by SEs Too many levels will leave spaces on this site to not be in the SEs and thus defeating the reason they are there, which is to provide information to others. If they are not searchable in the SEs people that do not know of this site can not find the informationthat we would already have readily available to them. That was some of the purpose of bringing everything up one level.
