Ok i have an ea falcon sedan, now if i get extractors, new sports exhaust 2.5inch, cat converter then get a performance chip to suit all of this what will be improved..

will i get better pick up (0-100 tim)
better fuel ecomomy
better power overall (if so how much)

now will i get better power even without a chip and will the chip make it better still.

will fuel get chewed even more or be better or same.

will i get same performance on an xr6, xr8 ed or efs ??

and last question..

what is the best performance chip, i have been told chiptorque chips.. are these the best or is there any more ??

chiptorque are pretty popular, some others include Unichip and Powerchip, all these companies have web sites.

yes better 0-100
yes more power
fuel economy will probabley end up being worse. but depends on how you drive. generally when you get more power you drive a bit harder so you notice it wether you mean to or not. hence economy loss.

Mate powerchips are not desiged to go in cars so it starts doing 10 second quatermiles. To make a powerchip work propely you need to mod your car. Better exhaust. Throttle body work. Fuel Injectors for example. You wont get XR6 performance out of your EA unless you do these things. You have got to design your engine to breath better so it runs more rich and then a custom tuned power chip is used to run your car with these mods in mind.

Just What i was told by this guy at a powerchip company!

this is what i heard about powerchips on any ea eb or ed that is stock they improve your car by 0.7seconds and quicker response thats all. they are a waste of money your better off putting a cam and getting the heads done!!

your original question was clearly refering to your EA ...

a good ED xr8 would cost at least 11500$ for that money you could get an EF mabey an EL with high ks ???

and mabey an EL would give an ED XR8 a bit of a scare in a drag .....mabe not ,who knows, who cares .

My friend says he sees ELs for as little as 9 grand. The used price of an EA is measured in slabs of beer, rather than dollars. (just ask daihat!)

EF/EL GLi easy for under $11,500 here in WA.
But go tha ED XR8 *thumb up*
ya can't beat tha sound of a v8. it's tha truth.
