Re: Phat Yellow EB

but how do they get over the engine hanging out the bonnet!!!!
AFAIK You can't cut the bonnet struts or have anything attached to the motor protrude through the bonnet. You'd have to fully engineer a custom Buldge bonnet like the BAXR8 to get it to pass.

Re: Phat Yellow EB

Well I am sure the car was registered many years ago. Just like guys throwing 351C into Escorts, used to be ok with an engineers cert, but not nowdays.

If the car was to run out of reg for over 3 months and then needed a blueslip for rego, I bet it would never be passed.

Mate there have been some funny rules and you have to wonder how they hell the cars were ever allowed on the rd. With an Engineer who knew how to bend rules, you would be amazed at what could be registered. Insurance wise, I would say that 99.99% of companies would laugh at you trying to insure that.

Can I ask a stupid question please, what in the hell does AFAIK mean. Every week some new acronyn comes out. why cant people just use plain english.

Re: Phat Yellow EB

yeah the car id a eb originaly it was a povo gl base model 6 cyl

in went a 351 clevo and a c4 running straight gas (gas research set up) the motor had been worked buy a former v8 super car driver (bob some one (cant rember name)) and had put out 550hp.

the car was originaly gaxaly midnight blue (dulux) and wore a full genuine v8 eb supercar kit (actually carbon fibre- they said they had to bolt it to the car to prevent someone stealing it as it was a quick release type kit).

looks to me like he's added a weiland blower and a further 2 gra throttles to it now!! fudgen SWEET!!!!!!! oh yeanh and them xr bonnet vents look alright i spose... lol

cheers.joe.
