Cheers Mate,,the only time it left the shed was for the roll cage its to hard to pass cams regs if you build it yourself,,everything else was done in the shed,
Or should i say in house.

Re: Pics of my XE Circuit Race Car,,nearly finished.
hi aussiemart flipped out last night when seing the pics of your car.i thought i was seeing double my car is a 85% the same as yours.I bet you have had a tough time building the car finding out infoand finding out the hard way by buying stuff you dont need and so on.i started building my car on and off 5 years ago and its about a month away from being finished. You might run into a bit off a problem with brake vaccum iff your running a big cam.im converting my car to twin master cylinders using bracketry from a djr xe that a freind owned and sold last year.if you are after any info let me know maybe you could help me,i still cant get over that their is another crazy bugger out their building a improved production racecar. great pics very nice job done maybe i will give you a race some time.
Re: Pics of my XE Circuit Race Car,,nearly finished.
LOL awesome mate,,will be good to not be the only x series car out there,,are you victorian? if so id say we will be racing each other ,,do you have any pics of your car?
I dont know about you but i had major problems sorting out the diff,i had a diff made and it just didnt fit,and its still not great, wheel offset was a pain in the butt for me,are you running flares?,
There isnt anything too trick on my car just nolathane bushes and a mild clevo, i hope i can update as money allows.
I think you posted on the ipra forum and i also flipped out,,unless theres another xe ipra car:-) i tried to reply but my login wasnt working.

Re: Pics of my XE Circuit Race Car,,nearly finished.
hi marty thanks for the reply.yep im a vic to i live out in werribee .sorry to hear you have had problems with your nine inch,it might have been set up for a e seriees falcon? yep i run the same bushings too and some noltecs as well because they are a little softer.in the next week i will post some pics my car its getting repainted at the moment in bionic blue.hope to be out racing next year only in selected rounds money permiting, only might run calder and winton . i hope to be ready for sprints in five to six weeks touch wood. i have never driven a car of this calibre before just going to take my time.hopefully your car will be rady soon maybe we could rock up to a sprint day together and spin some people out,x series falcons are rare on the track. LIKE i said in my last post really good job building your car, very proffesh.any time you would like to get in contact my email is xrtan@optusnet.com.au cool marty.talk to you soon trent
Re: Pics of my XE Circuit Race Car,,nearly finished.
Thanks for the encouraging words guys..
I should have it out on the track very soon,, i drove it to work last week:-) and i also had a good 45 minute drive the other night, it pissed down with rain during the drive too,, tractions not too bad in the wet with the yokey Ao48r tyres but i am taking it easy. all i can say at the moment is its a mechanical monster:-) I had this exact same driveline in an xw but having driven my xa with an auto and powersteering and now ive got a au xr8 220 manual for the past few years it really is raw,, Just got to get used to the detroit locker toploader and no powersteer.it is an eye opener,, plus it has a far bit more poke than the xr8:-)
Ive just had a new muffler custom made by genie exhaust, the current hooker aero chamber muffler is WAY too loud, so i will get some pics of it and try and get some video of the car running\driving during the week
Cheers Marty
