I just got an EB today, it seems to be missing gears, its an auto, sometimes it just cant find them, i pretty sure its the fluid cause its low, but i dont know where to put it in. can someone help. i think its the black one up the front.

Don't know if your taking the piss here, but you put the fluid in through the trans dispstick, which is at the back of the motor in front of the firewall...

but a 4 speed auto runs TQ-95 or LE-95 oil, which new from container is more brown than red, and also comes with a slightly burnt smell.
The senses oil condition check applied to trannies using dexron oils does not apply.
but then if it has a silver sheen to it, then yougot drama's.
In facing the problem. It is most likley electrical. At worst it will be one of the solenoids in the box. At best a connector issue.
Best place to start is at the battery, check EVERY teminal is clean and making good contact.
Even disconnect for a a coupla hours to do a full reset. If you go the disconnect option, let he car idle for a few minutes, as there are parameters the computer must relearn.
