Hey guys, I know you probably get threads about stereos every week, but I need some help. I have been through fordmods and fordforums using the diagrams to replace my head unit with the aftermarket kenwood unit from my old falcon. I am 99% sure my wiring is downpat as I have checked 3 guides. However the stereo does not turn on at all, not with accessories on or the engine running. I think the downfall might be the battery wire because all the guides said I needed a green and yellow wire, but I didn't have one in the loom. The only wire that didn't belong was a solid light green wire which I used. Could this be the problem? I have not soldered anything yet, they are crimped and covered with tape, just until I get it working. Then it will be soldered. The car is a 97 EL Fairmont Ghia, with the premium sound.
Cheers,
Mark.
