pod filter?

hey boys,

a mate just put a pod filter on his 5.0l fairlaine and is now lacking power,could this be because of 2 1/2 inch exhaust? maybe chage something?

Did he leave the pod exposed or cover it up ? If it was exposed its prob sucking in hot air....

Yeh he did, should he get a heat shield of some sort? He wanted cold air induction but the grill is solid and gets no air flow any suggestions for different placement?
