does anyonw know where i can get a powerchip for a BA XR8?
ive looked at www.powerchip.com.au but they do not have one...
what other little things can i do to improve the power without spending heaps of cash?
i was thinking of getting a few mods done to the ute (when i get it)..
maybe a new MAF, cold air set up, exhaust and chip and new bigger brake rotors...
I'd stay away from Powerchip, well away, but that's just me. Cold air, exhuast and a piggy back Unichip tuned for "your engine" is the way to go for starters, and yes Herrods do all of this but I'd stay away from him as well, seems theirs some sort of 'bug' spreading in and around his workshop. lol.
A real Xpensive sucker too dammit.
Stay away from Powerchip, Go either Chiptorque, if & only if they can do it in realtime as they did mine or go the Unichip.. XR9 ute also has a tweecer youd be interested in

Rob herrod is about to instal unichip on my xr, will post dyno results when done, though he dosent know it yet
Yep - there goes that bug again. lol @ laminge.
BTW Teza, when someone on here says to stay away from Herrods, it is only because he (reportedly) does such a good job that you want to keep going back to spend more and more money - just ask laminge.
Note - I have put "reportedly" in brackets as I have no first hand experience of his work, though I have spoken to Rob and Jeff on numerous occasions for advice, and they have both always been willing to give HONEST opinions and advice.

Thanks for clearing that up JCV8, I'm pretty much in the same boat as you when it comes to personal experience with Rob and his products and too afraid to to start 'cause I would like a house to live in, (no you don't) Yes I do! (NO YOU DON'T) Yes I Doo! piss off you!
