Hey guys,

I was looking on carsales and i looked at all the fairmonts and they had a premium size screen, but it was monochrome. I was under the impression that prestige was the same size as the standard, but included a 6 stacker. Anyway, my question is, if i got a car like the above mentioned, and sourced a Premium screen and get the VIN changed, would it be able to be placed in without too many problems?

im not sure if the screen would fit in, it probly would. but the reason they have the bigger screen is because of the climate control

i was under the impression they are linked to the body control module.
I bought a ghia because i wanted the colour screen and heard u couldn't upgrade the fairmont stereo and screen once it left the factory.
i could be wrong.
i got the ghia and it's great.
with the ghia the things are in different spots on the screen, it not just colour.

i read a tgread a while ago in the ute thread and you take it to ford and they reset something with there computer then it will work
