Thought I'd pop into Calder tonight for a looksee...

I walk through the gates..onto the hills and see this purple XR8 Ute (with FPV badge at the rears) fly across the finish line. 13.20seconds... I thought...that must be Rod... but then it occurred to me that Rod has a bright yellow ute that is a genuine FPV....not a XR8.....

Anyways...the guy has another run.... this time I'm down the start line. The bloody scoreboard sucks, I couldn't see the time, but I'm pretty sure announcer said 13.12seconds.

WTF!?!?!?!?

The plates start with SBD... If you're on here... please let me know whats under your hood!

Crikey, 13.1 is quick. It must be the colour. I would say for an XR8 Ute to get that time there maybe some forced air at play...maybe.

Might even be the plates... SBD = Silent But Deadly :o)
I hope it WASNT turboed or supercharged...

Maybe when Rod and/or XRFPV8 gets back they can shed some light on this one...

Did it have the 19" BBS/Herrod wheels and do a huge burnout? There has been a s/c phantom ute there for a while now that has been going to calder

It had 19s but I dunno if it was the Herrod one..i dunno what the Herrod one looks like.
it sounded pretty stock..couldn't hear any whilstles or exhaust...
then agian it was quite noisey during that time.

I don't know who owns it, I just pulled it up from fullboost obviously.

Looks nice, but I'm not a fan of spoilers on utes, it sorta, well, spoils it.

Ummm is that purple? Can't quite work out the plates. Everything else, the wheels, hardtop, spoiler matches.

Yeah it's purple, there's some other photos of it on the fullboost.com.au site from various events at Calder Park, there's a few pics of Rod's ute also.

I'm sure the plate reads SBD BA on that pic. maybe i'm wrong.

It is s/c too. A few weeks back when i was last there it was pull mid to high 13's, but obviously he's got a few things sorted since then. Not sure on details of the car, kw's or anything

I reckon he would of done around 10+ runs that night, and every pass had a huge burnout....the tyre bill for the 19's would be quite draining i think!
