I want to add a ghia speed , central locking and power my car is a cfi would this matter

is it possible to expand the question a little like say what a ghia speed is
power your car in what way?
and what matter to what? power to cfi?

hmmm.. let me try desypher this.. you want to add a Ghia Digi Cluster, (I have heard it's an arse of a job doin the sensors) Central Locking and Power windows? Central locking should be easy, can buy kits from strathfield for $50 I heard. Power windows.. ask EFFalcon (john) he did a power window conversion in his EF. Ohh your car is CFI.. yeah that matters.. lol.

Do MPFI conversion first!!

sorry about a ghia speedo the reason iask i though that u need mpfi but amate said i don't. So i though why no ask u guys that know more about fords and all the mods

If its an EA Ghia Digital Speedo it is fairly difficult to add do but if it is an EB Ghia Analogue speedo it is fairly easy.

Ghias didn't come out as CFI, so you may be right. I can't see how it would make a difference though.

i to tell u the truth i don't know how to do the mpfi conversion i wouldn't even try i f i had someone to help me out maybe so for the moment it has to stay as a cfi

just give it a go. heaps of people on here have done it. (i will be doing it soon as well) if you run into some trouble just ask on here in the tech section. some one will know. MongrelEB has done this many times, just ask him.

For the work required, I suggest you get a wrecked EA Ghia from the auctions = couple hundred. Sell the engine/gearbox, you should make most or all of your money back, then use the dash, wiring loom, intake, fuel pump form it in your car.

To alter the EA GL wiring to take power windows, and the electronic dash, is very hard. The dash goes easily enough, but you need to rewire all the plugs in the back and run a heap more wires for the sensors on the door open system.

MPFI is a matter of bolting on the manifold, changing the fuel pump and computer, and moving a wire or four. Very very easy, there's a heap of threads on here about it. Probably there's somebody in your area willing to help out for a carton or something.
