Sort of. Here is basicaly what happens.
Body Shell/ Trim, stop prduction the day the model ceases.
Panels, about 10 years for most things like gaurds, sill, doors, quarters etc. You will have trouble getting more obscure sheet metel.
Drive Train, as long as there is demand. After market covers this after a while.
Last XC panels made where guards and bonnets about 1990. They had a rerun on XB/C grills in 89 then, and this hurts, smashed the moulds with sledge hammers.

Sills were hard to get after 86. Doors and skins dried up about 88/9. Ute tailgates can still be had cos they are the same thru XF/G etc.
Coupe stuff dried up in the late 80's. I have some real good s/h XC coupe quarters, two tail ligt panels and a rear parcels shelf. I tried 10 years ago to buy new and faild. Cant see me parting with them tho.
The re-run XC guards were not to flash, especialy the left side. They need reworking to get the gaps right.
I still have a set of XC guards, one right front sedan door and some sills. Aslo got a XC Fairmont grill in the box along with lights. I stocked up. People thought I was Mad but if this is mad it sure feels good.
