Re: Rarest Falcons

In regards to the AU T3 build numbers, I wrote to Ford to get some figures. I got a reply from Richard Phillips of FPV who quoted me these figures:

........ Auto ... Manual ... Total
TE50 ..... 90 ...... 114 ..... 204
TS50 .... 152 ....... 72 ..... 224 <-- Weird! More autos
TL50 ...... 3 ........ 0 ....... 3

Re: Rarest Falcons

The reason the AUIII TS50 has more autos then manuals is that initially, it was an automatic only up-spec type of car. Later on, they released manual versions. TE50 always had an option of both, but was manual by default. Manual/Auto became a No Cost Option with the TS50 later on.

Re: Rarest Falcons

As far as I know, the AU and AUII TS50s were all automatic, with manual only being introduced a few months into the AUIII TS50's life.

Re: Rarest Falcons

Would the manual have become an option when the 220kW engine changed from the alloy heads to the GT40P heads? April 2001 I think, it's on the FPV website.
