Recolouring seat belts - Ford Forums

Is there anything that can be used to recolour/dye seat belts?I have a very good but faded black set that I want to do.I have seen carpet/vinyl spray in the shops but have been told that this may not work on belts.Has anyone done it?

If they are faded it will have been caused by UV, which weakens the belts over time.

For the price of replacements which wont break during the crash when you need them most, throw them away!

Can't remember the percentages, but the point they will break lowes significantly with even slight UV fading.

And you can buy them in every colour of the rainbow. This is from the Rares Spares website, so they might not fit :-P

i agree. RS is crap.

if you've got the original chrome buckle ones get them rewebbed, lilMattie found someone down south that does it legally. do a search, it'll be in an old seatbelt thread about 3-4 months ago

hey what about something like sabelt or umm trw? is it, someone that does harnesses I think also does lap sash belts.

Was this rewebbing or do they make 'em from scratch? What kinda money we talking about here, Mattie? I'd be interested in just replacing mine outright, but dont want to go down the RS path either.
