I need to replace the fuel tank in my XP coupe. I am hoping some can recommend a car I take one off. I am thinking of geting a tank that has a spare wheel hole so I can hide the spare and it has to fill from the rear. I would love on that has a submerged fuel pump inside as well.

Any ideas would be great

Hi XpCoupe,
was srounging round the wreckers this weekend and saw an XC sedan
fuel tank with a recess for the spare wheel. Would have to measure
distance between the rails and depth if there might be any cutting
and welding of the floor. Not sure about the fuel pump though.
I'm sure there would be other cars that could have suitable donor
parts, but it's always nice to keep it in the ford family!

Thanks, Will have to go and measure one. There is no floor pan in the boot as the previous owner installed a 150L drop tank that has no breathers. This is why I am looking to a repleacement tank.

My xm has had a xa-xc tank fitted sometime in its life , height and chassis rails arn't a problem ,but the boot hole had to be inlarged and the fuel filler is in the wrong place for the factory location and the fuel sender wont work with the factory 6volt gauge so you have to use an after market gauge.
An XR-XY tank will double the fuel capacity and allow you to use the factory fuel gauge.But you will still need to move the fuel filler pipe.
