Rip Off or Good Price?
I am car shopping at the moment for a newer car. I saw an EF today for $10990 which I thought was pretty steep. It had 167,000k's, 16in mags and a spoiler. I test drove it and when I started it, it took a while to find idle and was a bit rough for a few mins do you think it just needs a service and tune up or is it more major? I know my mates EF wagon did something similar when the head gasket was blown.
The car looks well looked after, well it's immaculate really. I'm just a bit apprehensive to go further with those sort of k's on it. I was looking for something with <100,000k's. What do you guys think?
I know this part should be in the for sale section, but I'll put it here as well:
1990 EA II Fairmont Ghia
Stark White
265,300k's
5spd man
Hurricane Headers
2.5in Redback Exhaust
ED rear garnish/lights
New rear tyres (fronts due for replacement!)
Motor replaced at 258,000k's
Brand new water pump
All usual ghia extras
It has a small dent under the left hand tail light.
I'm looking for about $3500-$4000
So if anyone is interested let me know. I'd rather sell it to a member than trade it to a shonky car dealer. As much as I want to get rid of it, I still love it and would like it to go to a good home :)
