SatNav on the BA

Finally got my DVD and controller for the SatNav on the Beast and I am amazed.
The sales guys told me it would be good in the city but almost useless in the bush as it has not details there.
Pigs Bum... I live in the bush and it guided me home exactly and listed roads that I did'nt even know the name of as they are dirt and basicly go nowhere.
Once again FORD have come up with a brilliant gizmo and I recommend it to anyone who travels alot.

Are there any standard screens on the SatNav that give you GPS data like GPS coordinates and altitude?

If not, there should be advanced codes that can get you into the "diagnostic" area of the SatNav which can show you this info. Has anyone worked out how to get into this on the Ford SatNav system?

I would be interested to know as this info could be handy.

Cheers,

Michael.

When the GPS is dsiplaying the street map, pressing the MENU button will display the lat/long, street name and number for a few seconds.

Also, would like to know the codes so I can boost the voice up. Had Ford boost it once, but still a bit low.

Also, wondering how many times ya dont do what she tells you, before she cracks a sad and wont tell ya where to go. The GPS seems to last better at that than the cook
