Well. After all the hoo-haa and waiting (about 2 months), my XR8 is at the dealer. Black, Manual with leather and sports steering wheel... it has to go to the paint shop to get some small scratches fixed _under_ the front spoiler (from the haulage truck) on monday, then to the tyre shop on tuesday for the new chrome 18s and lowered/performance springs and an alignment, then back to the dealer for a 'ready' groom and the lower grill fitted. 9am on Wed morning i pick it up!!
Here is a pic of the EL XR6 manual. Been a great car for the last 3 years... still gives you a thrill to give it stick. (which i do on regular occasions)
Mate you have made a top choice!! Black XR8 with the options you've chosen, and the aftermarket 18 chrome rims, it will be a truly sweet beast.
Enjoy!!

Photos soon! but in the mean time... a little story..
did a little 'snooping' today on why my 8 is in the paint shop (was bugging me), rang the dealer and asked the receptionist if she could recommend a paint shop... 'Sussions' she said... so truned around and went back the way i had just came, and bang! there is my car sitting in the paint shops front door (i just drive past it 10 mins ago - duh).
Went in to have a look... and talked to the guy there working on the car, they were re-spraying the back bumper as it got a small dent just above the small removable towbar hole. The guy said it happens all the time... little scrapes and nicks etc, taking it off the truck etc. (anyone else heard that? - any really bad stories?)
Anyways - left it there for the day and poped in to the tyre shop at the end of the day, and there it was again. They did a nice job on the bumper, cant tell. Lowered suspension and mags/tryes going on tomorrow. Will try to grab a photo...
