I have heard of it done. Not too sure on the legalities of it though.

Seriously, how hard can it be to have the old belt cut off and a new one sewed on?
I never said it was hard to do, just certified as legal.

Thanks Tote, I'll give them a call. I've asked several ppl's about it, one has said it might be possible to reverse the belts in the reel, so that the new looking part of the belt that is in the reel at the moment, is now up top to give a new look. Dunno if I like that. I figure the belt can still break from the fray no matter where along it is. If I didn't like that option, he said he might be able to fit new belts..... Then there was another bloke that said that it was illegal, not you scminer1, he said that it's illegal to reweb your old belts. I'm not sure what he meant by reweb.. do you guys know? sounds like he's talking about my originals. Anyway, I'll let you all know how it goes.

Good news guys. The old bloke mentioned by tote in his earlier post does reweb seatbelts with an Aussie certified safety stamp. Conditions apply as to the condition of your old eq. but other than that, she's apples!
His prices were approx: $120 for reweb + possibly another $80 for a new inertia reel (if it needs it).
Not too bad considering GT Perf. wants $120 for their repro belts.. although they don't make XA-XC belts .
Well now I have that sorted.... guys, one of you has to have a spare steering wheel for an XB (darkbrown). Lemme' at it!... please....
