confused To sell or not to sell???

I'm not sure what is going to happen with my car in the next coupla years, and I'm thinking of possibly buying a R32 skyline in the future.

I'm really indecisive as to whether I should keep the ol faithful XR8, work it a bit more and keep driving it or sell it as is, and go for a skyline.

I like them both equally and so does the mrs. Maybe I'll keep the XR8 and save for the skyline also and have both. Oh I dont know what to do.

Can anyone convince me otherwise?

Re: To sell or not to sell???

Well what do you use the car for, are both practical for a start in suiting your needs both now and future.

Start with that.

Re: To sell or not to sell???

Well it will need to be able to handle being driven daily. Just like the XR8, I drive it to work and back and race a few other dudes on the way.

I guess its practical considering I take my friends in it.
Pros: It's reall good on long trips. The motor is working fine. It's clean and neat. I own it, I owe nothing on it. It's reasonably easy to find parts. Insurance premium is affordable.

Cons: Skylines can be quicker. Better overall resale value. Better head turners. Sports car looks. Insurance can be expensive. Cost on parts will hit the roof. Practicality will be lost in a 2 door.

On the other hand, I may look into an XE turbo ute project in the end and use the XR8 as the daily. I dont know, I'll see what happens in the next few months!

Re: To sell or not to sell???

From the info you've given, it sounds like it would be more sensible to keep the EB.
I would.

Rick.
