I drove my mates EA Factory 5 speed Fairmont Ghia and the smile could not be wiped off my face! The difference in power between the manuals and auto's is absolutely unbelievable! its like a V8 vs a 2.0 four banger.
Anywho, my dad contacted me the next morning saying he had a 5 speed GL in stock and that I can come down and check it out, lets just say, 10 minutes worth of driving ( 2 minutes worth of wheel spins hehe shh was on a private dragstrip with a merging lane ) another half hour worth of checking the car over and another half hour striking up a deal and its now mine! its a 5 speed MPFI gold ea
I pick it up next Thursday, its getting a little paint and panel tomorrow and some decent rotors on the front
The best part about it is most of my good bits will be going onto the new car
im so jealous, i want a 5spd mpfi. Sucks having a 3spd cfi, but eh least i wont get any speeding fines eh. Well six, congrates and good luck, cant wait to see a few more pics of this car. good stuff bro!!!!!

I just sold my 5spd mpi EA for $2000. I now have an auto EF and I definately reckon the manual EA went harder. Seriously considering a transmission conversion for the EF!
Looks good Anthony :s5 Are you goig to use the gold car or put the trans etc into the white one? After months of saving for my 5 speed conversion even though its only 6 days away it feels like 6 months now. :(
thanks guys, yeah im totally stoked, u wont be seeing much of me on the forums for a few weeks, at least until the novelty ( or tread ) wears off!
Im doing a trade, my white ea plus some cash for the gold one. But im not really losing any money as i get to keep a fair wack off my white one, brand new m/cylinder, console, battery, tyres, sound system etc etc also this one comes with 10 months rego whereas the white ones due next month!
Cant wait for the next cruise!!
