Re: smashed

I idled into a VS when I was 19 with my '79 fairlane and it cost me $2500 to fix. The VS can be damaged easily it seems.

Re: smashed

Sorry to hear it mate, it's a fear we all have to live with. I haven't had such an experience yet (though I was in NZ's car when it got hit ), but too many close calls. One can't drive cautiously enough it seems.

Let us know how you go with insurance.

Re: smashed

Yeah I ran into A BA G220 A couple months ago, I was going only about 10 kays but it was still enough to cause $3K To him and $1000 to me...

Needless to say I doubt my expertise as a driver every time I hop in the car now..... It's only made me more jumpy and nervous behind the wheel....

Re: smashed

About 8 weeks after getting my P's I pulled out from a blind corner and came to a screeching halt as a LTD (NC?) collected to front right of my dads EF Fairmont. the fairmont was drivable but about $3000 damage. The LTD had in excess of $12,000.

This happened about 8 years ago.
