Hi guys just thought you would like to see what a nicely sprayed 9 inch looks like... and of course the complimentary leaf springs� that accompany it.

WTF!!!!! you didnt even clean the the underside b4 fitting the 9 inch?????...lol, congrats dude,tis a very special occassion when you get a 9 inch diff,
now you got a man's diff!!!

Shane..Just a stocker 2.72 ratio 28 spline LSD out of an ZD... nothing special YET.

Fordy... the mrs and I rubbed it back to bare metal. High filled it and then 2 pack black. Same with the springs. The diff centre is in Red Ochre Engine Enamel.

EB.. Not for a while yet mate. I was considering painting the underbody while I had the rear end out but stopped as it is my everyday car and it will get ruined anyway. Definately when I take her off the road for a full resto.

Galaxy... No shots of my car. I'm not really keen on posting pics of my car on the net. (Not that she's anything rare or special). Besides.. she's pretty rough and not very pleasing on the eye atm.

LOL @ Phil.. my intention was to just whack her in but all the boys forced me to paint it up, hence why I left the underbody!!! Now all I need is a toploader hehe

and excuse my ignorance but 9 inch, 8 inch and 'normal' axles. (My missus wants a 9 inch and I don't mean axle!) Why does everyone seem to want/have a 9inch Ford axle?
What is it about the 9 inch that makes it so special and 'the' axle for a Ford with leaf springs.
