Just been told Citric Acid isn't available for May build Falcs, after weeks of tooing and frowing on wether to go for it or not then finally saying yep, I can't damm well get it if I wan't a car in May.

I reckon Ford ought to give me a freebie upgrade to Phantom :)
might go the blood orange now though.

Well if I ordered that i would be spewing to! It's bad enough you have wait 4-8 weeks yet along saying no colours available until the following month so what's that 8- 12 weeks! ouch.

The info came from my friend who is a Ford sales manager, he didn't believe it himself when the local Ford area manager told him so called Melbourne. I assume it also includes GTs as they come out of the same sausage factory :)

If you have one on order, get the dealer to chase it up for you.

Just been told manual transmissions are in short supply due to something like 80% of Falcs being auto, unless you want to wait. Can get a blueprint manual and possibly a Blood Orange at the moment but thats it

i ordered a citric acid xr8 ute.. its in the process of getting built now.. its in the MAY batch and its citric acid!
i dont know how true this is but i would suggest if you like the colour get it!
go to the dealer and see how true this is.

the day i seen the colour at the MMS i knew i had to order it, i loved it.

some people hate it, some people love it.
just like the decision between the turbo and 8..
it comes down to personal choice.

3 weeks to get my ute!!!
CANT WAIT!!

XLS good choice with the colour, I happen to love it and it seems that when people see it in the flesh they like it too.

Your car is a April build so is OK. Its May builds that are apparently affected.

yeh, im 19 and on P plates.

im pissed off that every one gets shi tty when i say this.
why? are people jelous because thay have older cars and see a P PLATER driving a brand new BA XR8 ute?
i dont know.

i work hard for my money and therefor can spend it on what ever i want to, with out people having a say about it.

if im in a position to upgrade to a new ute at this age, good luck to me.

and if its power to weight ratio for a p plater your going to refer about well then yes i have an exemption.
