Anyone know of a place to buy a hurst shifter or similar for a toploader in eastern suburbs of Melbourne ?

(i know this should be in trans thread, but noone seems to go there)

Do you really need a Hurst shifter???

Have you thought about modifying the original top loader shift into a short throw shifter???

I just want to be able to change gears without the shifter jamming in the gate, so if i can find a toploader shifter i may use that.
I looked at getting new linkages etc, but if the whole thing is worn out, what other options are their ?

If the whole things worn out then you could go to a toploader...or possibly a 5 speed of some variety if you didnt want to keep the car old school.
