I'm thinking of selling my EB2 Fairmont Ghia. Since my Grandfather is currently selling this
XB Coupe
150,000 original klms
300klms on current 302
brand new heater and 4barrel holly carb
immaculate interior.
Stock as a rock.
I'm in two minds of this because i dont know how much i can get for my car. the only thing letting it down is the 250,000 klms on the thing, even though its never missed a service. I was thinking i could get 8000??
so what do you think?

Cool cheers for the PM and the info.
If your lucky and can find a car enthusiest you could push for $8000 but for most people all the cool extra's don't count much more for the total sale value.
The KMS will be the killer on the sale though. Make sure you have receipts for all the work you've done as that will help.
put it in like this
92 Fairmont Ghia Fully optioned, lowered, exhaust, upgraded brakes and brilliant stereo, real looker well looked after with reciepts (if you have them) $7500 firm
Be negotiable when you sell but don't advertise the fact because then you'll have bastards like me that will offer a tuppance for it.
Most of all be prepared to wait. You gramps car won't go any where if you ask him to hold it for you.
Selling a car for a decent price takes time. Took me 4 months to sell my 98 Furtura but I got top dollar for it.

Buddy, if i werent in debt right now id have paid u $8000 easily for it. I love EB ghia's and wouldnt have to go and pay up too $5000 for all the performance/visual extras... i reckon ud get the 8K easily if u sold it private. Just dont mention the accident u had eh? Pics are always an excellent seller coz most think OH yea ive seen those EB's nothing special and dont bother having a look.

89 EA1 3.9L TBI Falcon Sedan with 3 speed auto / currently being upgraded...
Im not sure if id sell a nice modern daily driver car for an old school car that youd only want to drive on a sunday.....
The only thing going for it is being a 2 door Falcon, though performance, handling, comfort, economy, reliability, cost of parts etc etc would be easily in the EBs advantage.....

mate you need to experiance how nice the "old school" falcons are!
All the V8's need is a good handling package and there brillient. You just have to drive one I remeber my XC with very fond memories only had it up untill 3 years ago and it was a cruiser.
The type of thing you want to drive every day
