tinted headlights
I wanna have tinted headlights on my car but i need to know
a) is it illegal
and
b) how much is it

It is illegal to modify the lights in anyway, even those headlight covers wich are not 100% clear are illegal (the small cross lines are ok) but the ones with cutouts are still illegal.

Just get some "NITESHADES" from autobarn or supercheap, it's special taillight paint for your taillights. Cost $15 or something.

Tinting the light itself is illegal, but you can do it to covers and just take em off at night.

I was told by a COP that it was illegal even during the day, had to remove the covers then and there and was let off with a warning.

Its just for the looks. Ive seen this white falcon XG ute with fully tinted headlights and it looked pretty shmick.
Its the same deal with other fasion accessories for your car, everyone has their own opinion.
