ok i have been looking for the tranny cooler for a ba xr6 n/a auto and i cannot find one
if there isnt one is it worth wild getting one
what is the addvantages of one
how much were and how are they fitted

i to have been looking for a cooler & have found that Ford dont even offer one as an option just like the AU the BA's dont get a trans cooler

the only option is to go for an aftermarket cooler, i prefer the old snake type cooler but have been told that the radiator type cool better

Joe Borg Automatics is in Garden Drive they quoted me $198 fitted all inclusive it was a drive tech cooler....its a good price not to sure about the quality of the cooler..
catch up with you one day, i live not to far from there.....

Unless you are towing or have a hi-stall converter I wouldn't bother with an external cooler.

If you need one I recommend a B & M Supercooler. About $100 plus a few bucks for some hose and clamps. They are easy to fit yourself.

Aren't the trans coolers inside the radiator?
I'm 99% sure.
I worked in a Ford Dealer last year & replaced a radiator cos the trans cooler was leaking oil into the coolant.
There should be 2 lines from the trans, that go into the top left side of the radiator.

What are the real advantages of these? Obviously keeping your transmission cool keeps it safe when pushing it hard, and stalling it up at the lights etc. Will this improve the life of the transmission significantly?

If $200 is all you have to pay it sounds like a good idea
