Hello all.
Finally got the car to Melbourne on wed at @ 5pm.
It went like an absolute dream all the way from Perth, avg speed 105kph avg consumption 12.3 ltrs per 100klm. Top speed reached on Nullabor YES.
I took the car to APS on Thurs morn for the UNICHIP.
What a smichk operation Peter has out there, any talk of the unichip not making power has been dismissed in my mind, perhaps some people can't tune them in properly but the guy at APS had the car in and out in 3 hours. the Dyno room itself is a sight to behold.
Anyway when the car went up for its first run, reading 10700 klm on the clock and fitted with:
PACEMAKERS
MANTA TWIN 2.5 CAT BACK SYSTEM
BATTEN UNDERDRIVES
BATTEN HELIX
SS CAI
BMC FILTER
it made 244 rwkw.
3 hours later the car came off the dyno making 263.9 kW at the wheels and 560nM of torque.
Now the car just wants to get up and go no matter how slightly you press the accelerator. I went to Calder this morning and met dean from the FPV John Bowe driver training and did a couple of laps around the Thunderdome and some witches hat slaloms, I asked him to give the car a good hard gallop and his comment was unbelievable acceleration he said the car was the quickest GT he'd driven and he's driven plenty. I've had a great time in Melbourne and met some terrific people its a Ford Mecca over here.
Anyway in closing, once again IMHO if you want more power, instead of listening to rumours and innuendo go to APS and fit the UNICHIP, the only thing it's done to my GT is make it go a hell of a lot quicker.

Good result there! ya gotta be happy with that! its great to see the GT's getting such high numbers with a few mods here and there! :s6:
Supa Roo: I'm rapt, the car goes very hard now, and yet drives around in Melbourne traffic perfectly, no idle probs, and avg on freeway at constant 100kph is 8.1 - 8.6 ltrs per 100 klm, so it looks like its picked up economy when driven normally.

I believe rod didnt even get that in his pursuit with similar mods? The car must feel like a weapon now! You'd probably find if you went back to that dyno after another 10,000 or so it would be higher, these engines loosen up even after 20k
Now all you need to do is see what it runs on the strip...maybe a cruise (as if you havent done enough already!) up to heathcote tomorrow for the drag day!

Rodderz Rods is a AUTO so it will be much less than a manual i think.I remember seeing one GT getting around 275.5 KW at the rears with similiar mods.
