I'm wondering what's involved in slotting a 302/351 (or even 289) into an XM-XP Falcon? I'm looking at buying a coupe or ute, and wonder if it's better to find one that's already V8 ready, or convert an old 6. Any ideas? Thanks!

Windsor or Clevo??

Slotting in a windsor is fairly straight forward. What sort of $$ does a old 6 go for in comparison to the V8 in NZ?

Yeah Windsor is the plan. Hard to say about prices, the cars themselves are so hard to come by

I think you're looking at at least $10,000 for a V8, but you can probably pick up a rough 6 for $3,000-5,000

Should cost a lot less than $5000 to get an 8 in the XM-XP. Sounds like a conversion is in order! Have you considered the EFI windsor??
