vehicle details

I purchased a secondhand owners manual for an EL, I am curious to know the details from the vehicle it was originally in, there are no details written in there apart from a rego number (004DRG).

Can someone who has access to the system search this rego to find these details, or will I need the VIN.

Re: vehicle details

What details do you want to know?

Chances of you actually being given the information are quite slim, it's a huge breach of the privacy act for anyone to do so.

If you're looking to a stolen/write off/finance check, you'll need the rego, vin/chassis and engine numbers.

Re: vehicle details

Yeh you can do a revs check with just the vin number....

As for ford they will give you the details of the car, eg the colour etc....
