Victorian Number Plates

So I was thinking of getting some personalised or custom plates for me AU sedan.
What I need is an idea of who has the slimline plates or the standard plates, and
are you happy with the look?

Can you get the slimline one end and standard size the other?

I reckon the slimline would look real good on the front of my AU but not sure about the rear?

Thanks All

Re: Victorian Number Plates

i asked vicroads and they said no you can have 1 slimline and 1 large one. slimlines dont look the best on the back of AUs anyway.

Re: Victorian Number Plates

yes i have one normal size plate on the back and slimline on the front..
on the back of an AU if you use a slimline plate you will have the 2 bottom black plastic blocks exposed, from where the normal sized plate is supposed to be screwed too.

Re: Victorian Number Plates

I have a slimline on the front and a standard on the back because of the number plate surround on the fairmonts... otherwise there would be a slim line on the back.

Re: Victorian Number Plates

I've got slimline on the front and back in the dark blue colour with white letters. I reckon they look great and blend in excellently with the Narooma Blue.

Re: Victorian Number Plates

Quick update. Rang Vicroads and they said one Slim one Standard is fine.
So I will get Slim up front and Standard on the rear.

Thanks for your input everyone, I didn't think a slim on rear would look good now I know.

Re: Victorian Number Plates

and the cost will be:

Front $35 = $24.50 for re-issue plate then $10.50 to make it slimline
Rear $24.50 just re-issue (I would make it new like the front)

Total $59.50

I did put something here, but it vanshied, I think

"So long and thanks for all the fish!"
