Warranty Query

Hi,

I purchased my AU Falcon Forte from a Ford dealer back in May this year, and it came with mods carried out by the previous owner such as mag wheels, and a cat-back sports exhaust.

I was also given a 3yr warranty with the purchase. Looking at the paperwork that was provided at the time of sale, no existing modification information is included. In fact, it looks as though by the paperwork that they just sold me a stock AU Falcon Forte.

So my question is:

Do Ford keep records in a database on vehicles under warranty and if there were any existing modifications to the vehicle at the time of sale?

Just curious as if they do not keep records of existing mods to the vehicle at time of sale Id say I may experience some issues in having a part replaced under warranty.

Cheers
Luke

I can tell you that if they can get out of paying for a claim they will, & by using the old "your car is modded" line that is all they need. Warrenty isn't worth the paper its written on. Sorry..

Nah didnt have to pay anything additional for the warranty. Its just a warranty that comes with the sale of all their used cars.

Car has to be serviced every 10,000km or 6 months. Whichever comes first.
