Hi all,

I have an AU Falcon and it's leaking coolant. I popped it up on a jack and had a look. It seems to be coming from the water pump. There's a hole at the bottom of the pump, like a screw hole or a valve or something and the coolant is dripping out of there. So my question is: what's that hole for and do i need a new water pump?

It's the bearing weep hole designed to leak when the bearing or bearing seal fails so you know it is time to replace the pump before it fails catastrophically.

Continuing from aussie blue....yes you need a new water pump.
Unlike the A models, nobody repairs these pumps.
