Water Pumps, Clutch fans and 5800 dont mix

hows this my water pump started pissing water out pulled it off, and to my amazement the front bearing had moved ******ds about 4 mm, and the rear pump plate was worn almost down to flat as this was the only thing holding my pump together,.....

It was a factory ford pump, dont rev motors with clutch fans as the fan tends to want to pull the pump apart

Shouldnt be revving it to 5800 neway... peak power at around 5000 rpm so nemore than that is useless punishment off your car

Re: Water Pumps, Clutch fans and 5800 dont mix

36mm spanner. Or maybe it was 32mm. I have one anyway.

From memory I shoved a screw driver through the water pump pulley bolts, then turned the fan nut, came off pretty easy.
