Just wondering whether all the AUII XR8's were 220kw or was there a less powerful version offered. Please excuse my ignorance as I am new to Falcons

there is 220kw AU's. all ive seen have a full body kit so they may have been special productions or something or just beefed up to get rid of them to make way for new models.

YOU ARE CORRECT...I GOT MINE IN AUG 2000..IT WAS A 200KW...THEN I THINK IN FEB 2001 THEY UPGRADED THE ENGINES BEING FITTED TO THE 220KW FROM THE t SERIES.

I had a Sep 2000 XR8 and it was 200kw.
from memory the rebel kited XR8's AU11's were 220 and so were the AU111 XR8's, but I'm pretty sure they didnt come out till sometime 2001

around mid 2001,all xr8 sedans came with 220kw engines,about the same time as all au2 xr8 utes got the 200 kw engine...

Okay. Enough vagueness. From the 01st June 2001 production the AU2 XR8s were fitted with iron head 220 engines. This is verified by checking the build plate for a production date of June 01 or later. Also check the engine for the Tickford 70mm throttle body. Early 220s were not necessarily fitted with the 220 badges on the rear and the engine cover.

Do the 200kw engines still have the signed plate on the engine, or is that only the 220kw version?

the signed plate is on the 200kw engine as well as the 220kw
