Surely a 3" exhaust sorta destroys the stealth of the XT! Unless, you or the other driver has a doof doof system cranking to drown out the exhaust note...
Maybe after uni when I have a full-time job (Coles $$$ doesn't *quite* cut it) I'll be behind the wheel of a BA, BB, etc 5.4 manual.

The exhaust note creates a few curious looks when I drive past, and at the same time surprises a few LS1er's with it's beautiful mid-range torque and reasonable top end.
Another positive is that it will outrun any LS1 upto 250kw at moderate speeds if the timing is right.

They will also out run an XR6T, especially the auto. Mine is such a sleeper people dont know you will give them a real scare untill I am of course way past. the only indication is the very small V8 badge on the front panels. Sometimes I wish there was a more public indication of the cars capabilities because people just dont try, but I 'could' have got an XR8
I have a 2003 BA Fairmont, lowered 55mm, 18" Drift R wheels, tint and factory rear spoiler. Looks great, but is painted the wrong colour, should be yellow with dimples, (aka Lemon). Anyone wanna talk about my dramas with this car, and fords disgusting attitude, I would love to talk to you.
Nov 03 XR6 Turbo SSS, 18s, premium sound and other assorted crap - extremely happy with it, best move I ever made, should have done it 6 months earlier!
I only have a stock 03 Acid Wash Futura. But its tons more fun to drive then my old VS Commodore (see I am a convert). But seeing as its only my 2nd car I am pretty happy.
I still am envious of all the XR owners. Would love to get an XR6T.
