what should i do to get more power and better sound?
just bought a white 1989 EA Falcon Spack and it's in exelent condition, i've already put a Sony Xplod head unit and 6 X 9's rear speakers on lay-by. but what i'm asking is what should i get to make the car sound a little more eh... "MEAN" and give it more power, people have said to me get extractors and don't get extractors, get a full length sports exhust and don't, i know for a fact that if you make a 6 cylinder exhust flow to much it makes them sound like there screaming (and not in a good way ether).
and i know that ea's wern't the best ford made but it's a huge step up from my old 87 sigma.

no point doing half, you're only going to do the rest later anyway!
Agreed. Get a price on a set from pacemaker and a 2.5" pipe behind it. Later on you can change the catalytic converter to a hi-flow item, but for now this will make a difference to both exhaust note and power.

Damn, Simon beat me to it! I was going to suggest this exact mod. I did it to mine and it sounds great when you stick the boot into it. No extractors or exhaust on mine either. Good way to spend $50-100

Who told u not to get extractors and exhaust? I wouldnt be askin them any advice anymore
As the others have already said get Extractors (theres manyn opinions on brands but pacemaker and redback seem popular) and a 2 1/2 exhaust system.
The Cold air intake is also a good idea, its cheeper (can be done for about $100 - $150 maybe less compared to $400 - $700+) but it will have less effect than the exhaust in both power and sound!

In addition to enhancing the sound of the engine, thermos fans to silence that godawful clutch fan racket is another good idea. One I hope to do myself some day.
