I"v been told a few things and read a few articals aswell, the first time i heard they were GT35/40's and today i was told there Gt35's and anther person said in the same forum they are T04's! can anyone help me out?

They are almost a gt35/40.

The 'real' Garret GT35/40 700 hp turbo is essentially the same as the BA falcon turbo but it has the bigger 4" inlet compressor housing fitted.

I read in Wheels (or AMC) that the Xr6 Turbo used the Garrett TO4, this might have changed since the BA falcon was released, but i am 95% sure that it is the TO4.
