Re: What would win AU or EF?

I have have an EFII Ghia (Tickford motor) and have had a bit of a run against an AU XR6 up to the speed limit (90km/h) and it was very close. His car was also an auto but I got done by about a 1/4 of a car in the end. He sorta crept ahead bit by bit. Very close and one of the most fun runs I have had.

Re: What would win AU or EF?

EF (being Ghia i guess is a Fairmont) as the Ghia also have the Tickford set-up
1621kg with 162kw

AU Futura with XR engine
1590kg and 164kw

Close, but the AU should have the edge

as you said. i had an AU forte and raced a few times agaonst my friends EF fairmont. he got me off the start and over distance i caught him and crept away. i noticed too that when i hit 100000km my cars performance was getting better and he didnt get me as bad from take off. guess the engine was just starting to wear in and feels its groove!!

Re: What would win AU or EF?

I'd out money on whoever had the best diff gearing and the better launch....it would be that close I think.

If I had to choose...AU, just cause it will rev so much better then an EF will.
