Whats the deal with tire sizes on the new GT's and XR's????

Whats going on, why are Ford sticking 235's on the Xr's and GT's instead of the bigger 245's. Sure, its only 1 cm but if you stick it into a corner a little wrong and you have the 245's ill bet you'll kiss them afterwards.......

We are talking about cars that weigh allot more, the slightest increase in surface area on the tire will make all the difference in the end. Whats doing???

Someone either confirm Motor and Wheels on these facts of 235's or proove them wrong.

To be honest, I hope they have been on the 235's. Then when 245's are stuck on you might have the tinniest bit more traction off the line, and mid corner grip.....

With the 18's you get 245/40 Dunlop SP9000's. Whereas the 17's you get 235/45 in either SP9000's or SP3000A?

MOTOR says 235/40 ZR18. I always thought they were 245. I guess it's a typo.
