Holden's got the Monaro...but what about us coupe buff's who want power and looks, but don't want to get a jap import (skyline/supra etc)

I have no real preference over Ford/Holden (even though I love my AU2), but yeh, it just seems the only 'fun' car Ford has at the moment for the not-so-rich people is the XR6T.

The Monaro has some guts to, couple days at the brock shop and she's well over 330kw still with factory warranty, which on it's suspension, and 6 speed gear box, goes very very hard.

So my question, why doesn't Ford have this? Do they not wish to compete in the sports coupe category?

The Monaro is not cheap either. If you don't have a preference, buy a Monaro.
I would buy a yellow GTO if I had the money.

If you think the Arrow coupe from Hilliers is a bit extreme, I think they did a "standard" XR8 the year before, which looked like a two door equivalent of a standard XR8. I believe the conversion could be done to any model AU, at the cost of around $30,000. Surely the same could be applied to a BA, the only real "shape" difference being the interior doorskins, and the flatter roofline. I couldn't tell you where I got this from though, I just remember reading it a few years ago (PFM? Unique Cars? <-- I think it was Unique Cars).

Didn't the Herrod mob mod one of these coupes? It was seen as the stablemate to the "Vision 300" or "300+" or whatever that sweet black AU Ghia was called...
