I don't want to give anything away, but my first stage of mods is coming up soon, with the car coming off the road briefly.... And I'm looking at finding a set of whitewalls but i don't know where to start, and i was hoping someone here knows a good tyre joint that has at least some sort of catalog that i can look through.
I'm looking for a well performing 15" tyre in around 225 width. I don't want those hot-rod whitewalls where the whole sidewall is white, just a thin say 3/4" band around the tyre halfway between the bead and the tread.
Don't tell me it's gonna look bad, coz i have other mods that'll blend with it nicely. And i know you're thinkin it, but NO, i'm not gonna pimp spec the ED, coz it'd be too hard being a SWB Gli...
Hmm, this sounds like one of those mods thats gonna be either ultra cool or G.A.Y to the M.A.X Try one of the big tyre suppliers like Factory Direct, Tyre Factory or Canterbury Tyre and Mag. Even check out some hot rod shops they might suprise you....sometimes the smaller joints have different stuff to eveyone else. Otherwise, crack out the Liquid Paper
Any big tyre place will get you white wall tyres. I saw a VP the other day, with nice 18's up front and stockies on the back... and the tyres on the back were white walls!! loooked sooo ugly.
your'car is red, IMO a red stripe would look good on your car.
the XY GT's had a red stripe around the tyre, which looked really tough. i saw one teh other day with simmond F90's and lo profile tyres, but with a red band around teh tyre, damn did it look tough!
